Knight, a leading provider of comprehensive trade execution and asset management services, depends on electronic communications for almost all of its business practices. Knight Equity Markets needs sophisticated technology to maintain its fraction-of-a-second standard for trade execution. Similarly, technology is critical to Asset Management, where portfolio managers rely on it to maximize returns and keep costs down.

When the company moved its corporate headquarters to new quarters adjacent to their existing offices, they relied on Shen Milsom & Wilke to design a 11,400 square foot data center, plus a 3,600 square foot future expansion area that has all of the piping in place for air conditioners and electrical. The data center required extremely high availability. It serves an approximately 400-position trading floor.
