Belmar Center is a new urbanist community that features retail, restaurants, theatres, offices, residences, and parks within a 22-block center in downtown Lakewood. Within the development is the Belmar Center events facility, which includes conference rooms, an 8,500-square-foot ballroom and a 400-person terrace. It also incorporates retail, restaurants, and an entertainment complex.

Shen Milsom Wilke’s acoustic design controls noise intrusion from external sources, as well as from other venues within the building. Noise and vibration treatments were designed for HVAC systems, ducts, pipes, and the structure itself.

Belmar Center won the Urban Land Institute’s 2006 Award for Excellence.
