Judith and Arthur Zankel Hall

New York City
Completion: September 2003

Architect: Polshek Partnership Architects, New York City
Audiovisual/distance learning systems: Shen Milsom & Wilke, New York City

Zankel Hall doubles as an educational facility, accommodating the latest in contemporary communication technology. Shen Milsom & Wilke designed that technology--a sophisticated and unusual distance learning system. Part of Zankel's mandate is to serve as an incubator for new ideas and musical forms. The distance learning system allows Carnegie Hall to share these innovations with those located outside of New York City.
