Visualization Centers Allow Business Collaboration & Virtual Subterranean Exploration
Schlumberger Limited, a $13.7 billion international petroleum exploration and technology services company, asked Shen Milsom & Wilke to design eight recently-completed and innovative data visualization centers, called iCenters, at five sites in Ridgefield, CT, New York, NY, Sugar Land, TX (near Houston) and Paris, France. These centers are a first within the petroleum industry and mark the very latest technology in presentation, remote collaboration, and data visualization. more


The Museum of Modern Art Moves to Queens
While MoMA’s Manhattan facility is closed for renovations from May 2002 to 2005, the museum has shifted operations to a new facility in Queens. Opened on June 29, 2002, MoMA QNS is housed in a renovated Swingline staple factory and encompasses 160,000 sf of space for exhibition galleries, study centers, workshops, storage, offices, and a café/bookstore. Located on 33rd Street, the building is close to MoMA’s PS1 Contemporary Art Center. more
